Update of the Fall Stall
Hey Everyone!
Sorry, I have not given any updates in a few weeks; more like a month and a half. There has been lots that has happened and lots that has been delayed. So here is a quick recap of there where are and what we are still following the path to:
The second part of our home study had to be rescheduled because Damian got falsely diagnosed with a virus that is super contagious if we were not careful. We were headed off to vacation the following week so we were playing everything safer than sorry to be able to go to Orlando. We were able to get a new date, but it was much farther out than we had hoped for. We are rescheduled for the 12th of October; a month later than planned.
We are still fundraising and we are working on a post about that, however, we want to make sure we have the paper that says we are able to become paper pregnant before we do. I should say that was our original plan, but we would love to have our next adventure home by the end of the year which would make this a quick adoption and all funds needed pretty quickly so stay turned.
Life update - we are starting to get settled more and more into the new house. We of course painted it before we moved in, we have added a full front yard fence, converted a shed into a dog house with full heating and air, got a hot tub and added a chicken coop as we have grown the family by 26 chickens in the short 2 months we have been here.
Damian is doing great in school and truly enjoys going to school daily. His teachers and the faculty there love him like he is there own and he has grown so much since the first of the year. We are so happy with our decision of picking Donelson Christian Academy even after the rocky start with diapers and the snack that keeps the kid alive Goldfish. He is learning how to share and how to be around kids smaller than him. We are hoping this diversity is going to help mold him to becoming an amazing big brother.
Not a long update this time even with the gap as we are in the weird waiting phase! Please keep us in your prayers we move through these next milestones smoothly and no more delays getting the home study completed.
Love y’all-
Us!
